The battery is one of the key factors to ensure the safe flight of the drone. How to extend the battery life is worthy of the attention of every drone user.
Here, we summarize the precautions for the use of the TAKE UAV smart battery, so that users can fully experience the stability of TAKE performance when operating the TAKE drone.
The main features of the TAKE UAV smart battery are as follows:
• Balanced charging protection: The charging stand automatically balances the internal battery voltage of the battery to protect the battery;
• Overcharge protection: Overcharging can seriously damage the battery. When the battery is charged to 13.05V, the battery will stop charging.
• Over-discharge protection: Over-discharge will seriously damage the battery. When the battery discharge is nearing the end, the aircraft will automatically return to the ground; when there is no operation for more than 10 minutes, the aircraft system will automatically power off;
• Current abnormal protection: When the aircraft detects abnormal current, the system will automatically power off.
1. But put
The discharge curve of the lithium battery shows that the voltage drops relatively quickly at the beginning of discharge, but the discharge is stable between 3.9 and 3.7V. However, once it drops to 3.7V, the voltage drop speed will increase. If the control is not good, it will lead to over-discharge, but the battery will be damaged, and the voltage will be too low to cause an accident. If you do not pay attention to the protection of the battery, often over-discharge, the battery life will be greatly shortened.
The TAKE drone can monitor battery usage in real time from the FlightGo APP. By default, a low battery alarm is triggered when the remaining battery power is below 30%. When the remaining battery power is too low, the FlightGo APP will pop up a severe low battery alarm, and the aircraft will automatically enter the return flight and land at the return point to ensure battery performance flight safety.
2. But not enough
Use a dedicated charger.
Place the charged battery and charger in a safe location.
The TAKE charger uses Qualcomm QC3.0 fast charging technology, which can be used for fast charging in conjunction with the power adapter. The charging status indicator of the QC3.0 fast charging state flashes green. If you do not use the matching power adapter, you may not be able to achieve fast charging, only slow charging. The charging status indicator flashes orange during slow charging.
3. Not full of electricity to save
The battery cannot be fully charged for too long, otherwise it may cause the battery to produce a bulge during use.
Recharge after determining the mission. If there is no mission within 3 days after the battery is used, please save it. If the TAKE battery is not used within two months, the battery should be charged and discharged once and then saved, keeping the battery active and extending the battery life.
The battery should be stored in a cool environment. When storing the battery for a long time, it is best to put it in a sealed bag or a sealed explosion-proof box. It is recommended to have an ambient temperature of 10~25 °C, dry and non-corrosive.
4. Do not damage the outer casing
The outer packaging of the battery is an important structure to prevent battery explosion and liquid leakage.
The battery should be handled with care. When installing the battery on the TAKE drone, make sure that the battery compartment cover is fastened to avoid loosening during flight and cause accidental damage to the battery skin.
5. No short circuit
A short circuit can directly cause the battery to catch fire or explode. During the process of transporting the battery, avoid placing the battery with metal objects such as keys.
The best way is to have each battery individually wrapped in a ziplock bag and placed in an explosion-proof box to prevent short circuits due to bumps and collisions during transportation.
6. Not low temperature
In the north or high altitude areas, there are often low temperature weather, and if the battery is placed in a low temperature state for a long time, the discharge performance will be greatly reduced. At this time, it is not possible to control at the time of flight at the normal temperature state.
The battery should be stored in a warm environment, such as inside a house, inside a car, or in an incubator before taking off. Please preheat the battery to above 5 °C and install it on the aircraft. It is better to preheat it to above 20 °C. Please do not use it in the environment below 0 °C, otherwise it may cause irreversible damage to the battery. Quickly install the battery before takeoff and perform the mission.
Shorten flight time
When the ambient temperature is low, battery life may be reduced. Try to shorten the flight time to half of the normal temperature to ensure flight safety.
